AWARDS 2010
The Institute of Physics Awards Committee is now seeking
nominations for the Institute Awards 2010, and we need your
help to nominate the most outstanding physicists in their
respective fields.
The awards exist to recognise and reward outstanding
achievements by physicists in their respective fields, working
in industry, business or research. In 2008 the awards
portfolio expanded, so we now have 27 medals that span all
areas of modern physics as well as contributions made to
physics outreach, physics education, the application of
physics and physics-based technologies. The Institute also
awards medals with other international societies, including
the Occhialini medal, which is awarded jointly with the Italian
Physical Society.
